    Brainstorming

    Hi Berries!

DH and I have been thinking about TTC, so obviously names are on the brain I've had a list in my head of names all my life, but our surname is particularly difficult to pair with - sounds similar to Reebok (the shoe company). It's a bit clunky and eastern European sounding. What do you think might pair well?

Here are some I really like - feedback welcome!
    Chelsea
    Sonia
Susanna (Anna) - Suzanne/Susan are names honoring our mothers
    Carolyn

Chelsea - not a big fan, feels very dated
    Sonia - I like it!
Susanna - It's nice, I prefer the Susannah spelling but it doesn't matter much
Carolyn - not a fan, feels way more dated that Chelsea, I'd go for Caroline or Carolina

    Delilah - Camilla - Geneva - Ida - Valentine
    Ronan - Arthur - Gabriel - Clayton - Declan - Matthew - Bennett

@alchemicallypurplefairy thanks so much! I agree with your feedback on Carolyn and Chelsea. Glad to hear you like Sonia, that’s the one I’ve been crushing on. I wouldn’t have thought of it if our last name didn’t flow so well with it. Thanks for your response!

Ooh I love Chelsea and Carolyn - lovely choices! The other two are less my style, but they all give me a slightly dated vibe (in a good way - full of nostalgia and such), kind of like the names from the 1970s-1980s I love so much!

@leafsgirl44 thank you for all of the suggestions! I do like Colleen and Alexandra. Funny enough DH loves Alex for a girl. Thanks for the help

To my ear, all your choices work well with the surname, but Sonia is my favorite. So pretty!
Ellen Virginia * Nancy Eleanor * May Genevieve * Celia Madeleine * Audrey Claire * Bess Emilia
Nathaniel Francis * Leo Edmund * Benedict Henry * Virgil Blaise * Joseph Malachi * Timothy Jerome

Also Liking: OONA MUIRGHEAL * Siobhan Brigid * Cassandra Niamh * Miranda Kate *
Sybil Josephine * Edith Augusta * Catherine Ginevra * Molly Catriona *

Chelsea - sound very dated, and where I live it's got the association of being a 'chav' name. Basically a girl who's parents don't work and smoke/drink a lot. Chelsea Reebok also sounds very repetitive. I don't know if your surname has the 'ee' sound, but if you do it's worth considering.
Sonia - Sonia is nice. Its gentle but mature. I would wonder of a Sonia was eastern European, but that's not necessarily a downside.
Susanna (Anna) - I like Susanna. It's a more youthful version of your mothers names, and I think it would work really well. I'm a big fan of names ending in Anna or Ana as they honour my grandmother.
Carolyn - I don't mind this one, I just dont care for it as much as Sonia or Susanna

@greyblue - thank you for the suggestions. I've thought about Chelsea June, and Savannah is one of our all time favorites. It's one of our good friends names, so not super usable for us unfortunately. Great suggestions though!

@erinbeth & dayjoy thank you so so so much for the feedback. Sounds like Sonia is the winner in this thread
