    Tyler.... as a girls name?

Just throwing this one out there because I'm curious to see what everyone thinks.
I don't know if I'd ever use it because I feel it might clash with our last name a bit (Tucker), but I think its adorable and so charming for a girl. Spirited and spunky, tough yet still feminine in a way.
I grew up as a "rough and tumble-in the mud-frogs and worms in my pockets" tomboy and I think that may be why I'm drawn to it.

Even though its traditionally a boy's name, I think it is SO cute for a girl.
Then again, I also like Dylan, Hunter and Rowan for girls. Maybe I just have weird taste.

I think Tyler for a girl is so sweet!! I think given that traditional "boy" names are being increasingly used for girls that it would totally work. I know a little girl named Frankie and it's just the cutest!

(And I actually think it sounds really nice with Tucker)

A few more names in the same vein...

Boy-names turned girl names are great, but girl-names turned boy names is even better in my opinion. So exciting and novel.

I was inspired by a mistake I made once, thinking an male actor's name was Angel which I thought was the coolest thing ever!

Tyler on a girl could work. I'm not a fan of the name in general, but objectively it feels similar to Taylor, Skylar, Twyla, Kyla etc. so it could be cute. Tyler Tucker is a bit rhymey but it also has a nice ring to it

I used to like the idea of Tyler on a girl, but since then I have gone off it despite hearing of female Tyler/Tyla's.

I definitely think it could work though, it's just not for me.

I voted yes, not because I think it's cute but I think it works. Here's why:

Tyler is becoming dated for boys. It probably peaked in the late 80s/early 90s. Sometimes names that are past their prime are reinvented for girls - like Ryan, Dylan, Taylor, Cameron, etc. Tyler fits right in with those.

If it was a boy name that is currently very popular I'd refrain. I know a girl called Logan and find it weird.

Honestly, I find Tyler to be a bit dated for boys and girls. It’s something I could easily imagine on someone around my age (20) or older, and I know several (including a couple girls). It’s kinda meh for me. It definitely works fine on a girl.

It’s not my personal taste, even for unisex names, but I do know a girl named Tyler, so you can definitely do it.
