A new fun one. “She’s Got the Look” by Roxette came on the radio yesterday and I got pondering it as a name.

I’ve always enjoyed the name Roxie and its sassy mid-century vibe. I like the longer Roxanne and Roxanna but not nearly as the diminutive.

I’m starting to like Roxette as a long form. The -ette really pushes that 50’s bad girl feel for me, with of course an 80’s edge, but still has a freshness about it.

Anyone else think this is kinda cute?

Never liked any other versions of it besides Roxette. Roxie is okay I guess but I prefer Moxie.

It's very interesting and fun! Roxette makes me think about a joyful and energetic girl.

'Roxette' is quite cool. It is also the name of a Doctor Feelgood song.

My first thought is that it sounds like a mispronunciation of "rockette". I like it as a stage name, but not necessarily as a everyday name.

Roxie is too cute! I almost wish I could use it, but one of my sisters has dibs and there’s other names I like, so it’s no big deal. Roxette took a minute to grow on me. When I initially read the title, I was like, “absolutely not!” However, I said it out loud a couple times, typed it out, read some of the other posts and now I think it’s super cute and very spunky!
