    Struggling for boys

I'm really struggling to find boys names i like, let alone love, and and looking for some help expanding my list.
My top two names currently that I really love are Griffin, nickname Griff or Finn, and Elliot, nickname Otto. After that I really like Caspian, but don't love any nicknames for it, and Jonas. That's about it. I do have a longer list of names I like, but none I really like, so need some suggestions.

    Top 4:
    Griffin nn Griff/Finn
    Elliot nn Otto
    Caspian
    Jonas

    Other likes:
Chester - I like this one, but is it too tied to the City for use in the UK?
Cooper - I'm not sure this one works well on an adult, and it sounds a bit too American
Daniel - I like, but really hate the almost inevitable nicknames Dan or Danny. There's no nickname to 'distract' from those ones either.
Elias - Just too close to Elliot, which I prefer
    Everett - Can't think of a nickname I love
Jonah - I like this more than Jonas, but the Biblical association is too strong for me
Miles - Lovely, but I'm not really a fan of one syllable names. Also seems quite American
Peregrine - I love, but it's honestly too 'out there' for me to really use as a first
Theodore - was a favourite for years, but recent popularity is making it feel a little dull

Since I have 45 names on my girls list, my boys are feeling a bit neglected. I even have more names on my girls honour list than by boys first names. So, what names would you suggest?

Chester - I’m from the UK, doesn’t seem like a problem
Cooper - I agree, and the nickname Coop is awful! Like chicken coop
Daniel - you can definitely stop others from using the nicknames, but I can see a teenage Daniel just wanting to go by Dan
Elias - they start the same, but the sound is entirely distinguishable to me
Everett - you know that a child isn’t legally required to have a nickname, right?
Jonah - I agree, Jonas is much better
Miles - I have a Milo, and I wouldn’t worry. Miles fits right in with James and Charles, and overall I think names are only seen as über-American if they’re plain ridiculous like those celebrities’ kids
Peregrine - I agree, maybe as a middle?
Theodore - I know the feeling!

    I’ll throw out some suggestions:
    Wilson (Will)
    Alfred (Alfie or Freddie)
    August(us), Argus, Fergus (Gus)
    Leonard/Leopold (Leo)
    Bennett, Reuben (Ben)
    Seamus (Shay)
    Dexter (Dex)
    Jeremy (Remy or Jem)
    Leander/Lysander/Evander (Andy)
    Arthur (Art)
    Cormac (Mac)
    Thaddeus (Tad, Teddy)
    Milo Peter 2015

Daniel could have as nn's Niall or Niel (Neil). Although I prefer the full name Daniel.

@greyblue - Thanks for the suggestions. Josiah is lovely, but feels very biblical. I'd definitely assume that any couple that named their child Josiah were practicing Christians. Lorcan and Archer have been added to my list. I really love Lorcan. Ben- names are too close to my partner, so they would be a middle of used. I do like Reuben though, will add to my middle list. Atticus has been growing on me the past few months, but I'm still not sure I really like it.

@adeline.sophia - I really like Lysander. Nicholas is nice, but I really dont like Nick. Otto is sweet, but it's my preferred nickname for Elliot

@josslyng - I realise Everett doesnt necessarily need a nickname, but I would prefer it if it had one. Some names i love dont have nock names, like Margot, because they feel very versatile, and would work for any personality. However, I feel nicknames add more personality, as you choose one that you feel fits more. Everett feels quite harsh, so a softer nickname would be a nice option, depending on the child.
Bennett was on my middle list as an honour, and I have just added Reuben too. I've added Lysander as well. August and Evander have been growing on me, so I will add them and see how I feel in a month or so.

Griffin Theodore, Caspian Chester, and Jones Cooper. Are good matches with the names on your favorite list.
The name I'll suggest to you is Newland Auster.
