    Leilani

    Hi all,

I am in love with the name Leilani and would like to know your thoughts on the name?

Also, what would you name a sister to Leilani?

I also like; Naomi, Sadie, Renae and Penelope but they don’t seem to match up Leilani at all.

    Any ideas?

It’s a beautiful name. I would assume someone named Leilani to be of Hawaiian / of Hawaiian heritage though

Hmm, I knew a girl named Leilani when i was in a kid in the 90’s and always thought it really pretty. I’m pretty sure she wasn’t Hawaiian and that wasn’t a problem or something anyone raised an eye at. I believe she got complimented on her name a lot. And I’m not surprised I’ve been hearing and seeing the name gradually more over the years it’s a good one unique feeling but not too out there seeming.

Sister wise I’d say Naomi actually sounds great paired with Leilani.

Maybe something spunky. Perhaps a K name, my first suggestion would be Kaia, but it’s been mentioned so I’ll second vote it and suggest Kiana.

But I think you’re looking for a name strong on vowels. Which is why I think Naomi does fit. Other Hawaiian names, Japanese names, or old greek names might hold what you’re looking for.

Leilani is a name that has a more unique sounding edge to it and you’re probably gonna need something with a similar vibe to feel they match.

    How about
    Leilani and...

    Kaia
    Kiana
    Tiana
    Rhea
    Daphne
    Astraea
    Amaya

It sounds like Leilani is the one. It is a bit harder to find names that pair well because it's such a unique look and sound. I think names that are three syllables, share a nature meaning, a lot vowels, or names that aren't in the mainstream are good options.

Leilani & Paloma, Leilani & Aurora, Leilani & Delilah, Leilani & Geneva, Leilani & Cosima, Leilani & Minerva, Leilani & Cassia, Leilani & Anais, Leilani & Olinda, Leilani & Ianthe, Leilani & Keziah, Leilani & Meliora, Leilani & Waverly, Leilani & Delphina, Leilani & Jacinta, Leilani & Talitha, Leilani & Emerald

I've also played around with some middle names just to see how mixing your different name styles could work together. Plus a few extras.

Leilani Pandora Violet, Leilani Felicity Renae, Leilani Penelope Iris, Leilani Rosalie Pearl, Leilani Hannah Elise, Leilani Soraya Eden, Leilani Kerenza Faye

I'd love to know if anything stands out for you. All the best!
