    The Mountains: Final 6

I'm currently rounding out my "Mountains": basically my top 6 boys list, I have 4 fairly solid first names, namely (pun intended) Caspian, Tiberius, Alexander and Leonidas aka Koa, Bear, Xander and Leo.

    My current questions:
With 4 really long names, is having a visually shorter name, going to feel jarringly out of place?
Which ones of my list, or any other suggestions would you have for completing my sibset?

    Current list for 5 & 6:

    Balthazar "Ari"
    Archimedes "Archer" or "Ari"
    Aurelian "Ari"
    Elias "Eli"
    Phineas/Finnian "Finn"
Rainier "Ren" (is it too wordy?)
    Xavier "Xavi"
    Malachi "Kai"
    Leviathan "Levi" or "Ethan"
    Lucian "Luke"
    Maximilian "Max"

    Shorter names:
    Calum "Cal"
Jasper "Jack" (is is too close to Caspian?)
    Beaufort "Beau"
    Kiaran "Ky"

With Caspian, Tiberius, Alexander and Leonidas, I'd consider:

Balthazar "Ari" - this totally fits to me and I really like it as a name. It's different enough too to the other names so it holds it's own
Malachi "Kai" - feels balanced - distinct but somewhere between Alexander and Tiberius
Maximilian "Max" - it holds a grandeur and familiarity that makes it work.
Jasper "Jack" - I like the grounded but mystical quality of Jasper. It holds its own too next to the longer names, and I don't think it's too close to Caspian
Beaufort - this has a similar vibe to Tiberius and Caspian to me and Beau is a great nn!

I think the shorter names work, so long as they have a similar vibe/feel/grandeur to them

I think if a name were only a single syllable it might stick out dramatically in a list of longer names, but I think the shorter names you have here still work aside from Kiaran nd Calum which seem too stylistically different. It also helps that most of these longer names you also have very short nicknames for.

Archimedes is my son's name so I'm obviously pretty partial to that one! Archer is a great nickname (we use Archie for our boy as we have a little Archer in our friend's circle) His dad also sometimes let's his inner gamer out and calls him Arc.

From the list I also like Balthazar, Lucian, Maximilian, and Phineas.

I don't care for Xavier, Leviathan, Malachi, Finnian, or Elias with the other names on your short list.

Rainier, Aurelian, and Jasper are middle of the road for me. I don't love them personally but I definitely think they can work with the other names. Jasper is on the matchy side with Caspian and I probably ly pick one or the other for a set, or consider one for a middle somewhere rather than a first.

Thanks so much for your opinions.

Rn I think Balthazar and Maximilian are in the lead, with Archimedes and Malachi as seconds.

What do y'all think of Nikolai "Kolya" or Sebastien "Tio"?

With Caspian, Tiberius, Leonidas, and Alexander:

    Balthazar
    Archimedes
    Malachi
    Maximilian

These are the only four with the same "oomph" factor. They're like running into a big, solid, ancient stone wall. Balthazar is by far my favorite of the bunch.

I love Nikolai with your set!
Sebastien fits stylistically too but im not sure if the sounds are too similar to Caspian?

Considering Caspian, Alexander, Tiberius and Leonidas, all 4 syllables, I think the verbal length is more important for names that go than visual length. Two syllable names seem a bit lacking, but 3 syllables, no matter the number of letter, seem to go for me

Balthazar "Ari" - Strong name, goes well with the others, particularly Tiberius
Archimedes "Archer" or "Ari" - bold choice, but also fits well. I like it with Leonidas
Aurelian "Ari" - a softer boys name, so would make a good brother to Caspian
Elias "Eli" - I really like Elias, but it doesnt have the same grandeur as your top 4. Sounds dull in comparison
Phineas/Finnian "Finn"- same as Elias. Phineas would be a nice brother to Alexander, but doesnt stand tall next to the other names
Rainier "Ren" - doesnt sound too wordy to me. I like it. Fits quite well with your other names
Xavier "Xavi" - I like this, but it doesnt really fit with your top 4
Malachi "Kai" - again, doesnt fit with the others
Leviathan "Levi" or "Ethan" - not sure whether I would put this one in or not. I much prefer Levi to Ethan though
Lucian "Luke" - I really like this one, but again I dont know if it really fits or not
Maximilian "Max" - Maximilian definitely fits with your top 4, but Max seems likea fairly plain nickname

Calum "Cal" - prefer the spelling Callun, but definitely doesnt fit with the other names
Jasper "Jack" - not a fan of Jasper. I dont think it fits either
Beaufort "Beau" - I think the style of Beaufort makes it the only one to fit with your mountains despite being short. Not my style, but a great name
Kiaran "Ky" - doesn't really fit with the others. Prefer the spelling Kieran

    Tldr
Yes to Balthasar, Archimedes, Aurelian, Rainier and Beufort
Maybe to Leviathan, Lucian and Maximilian
No to Elias, Phineas, Xavier, Malachi, Callum, Jasper and Kiaran

My top two would be Balthasar and Beufort
