    A nameberry top 100

Just throwing the idea out there, it would be amazing if someone in the nameberry world made a "nameberry" top 100 from the birth announcements!

1 year mightn't be enough data, possibly of the last 5 years or similar

I think it would be so interesting to see an international amalgamation of name nerds baby names! *heart eyes*

I do believe this feature already exists:

I think that would be a lovely idea, but would take a lot of effort
@adelina_sophia - it would be different because that list is based on names looked at, rather than names specifically used as baby names. While there will he a link, the most searched names will also include guilty pleasures, middle names people use less as firsts and names for characters. I'm sure there would be differences with those actually used as baby names

    @kipperbo1 that would be amazing!

I think only first names to keep it simple?

I think the results would be different to the most looked at names @adelina_sophia

A quick glance at the 2019 babyberry announcements so far we have...

    Girls
    1. Juniper (2)
    2. Phoebe (2)
    3. Susannah (2)

    Boys
    1. Atticus (2)
    2. Jasper (2)

And since those weren’t super interesting results, I included sibling names...

    Girls
    1. Anya (2)
    2. Beatrice (2)
    3. Jane (2)
    4. Juniper (2)
    5. Juno (2)
    6. Lola (2)
    7. Margaret (2)
    8. Phoebe (2)
    9. Susannah (2)

    Boys
    1. Ezra (3)
    2. Peter (3)
    3. Atticus (2)
    4. Edmund (2)
    5. Everett (2)
    6. Grant (2)
    7. Jasper (2)
    8. Kit (2)
    9. Leo (2)
    10. Lucas/Lukas (2)
    11. Nathaniel (2)
    12. Sebastian (2)

    Bonus
There was one boy Kit and one girl Kit born in 2019 (plus a baby with an older brother named Kit)

I think you’d definitely need to go deeper to get better results but I only felt like combing through the blog posts from this year to find the babyberry announcements. Maybe if/when I have more time.

Don’t worry about it I’m 3 years deep in analyzing rn I’ll post when I get even more data, the thing about nameberry is the names are so diverse that there aren’t even that many repeats! But I’m counting how many times each name was used as a first, and as a middle.

I’ll be interested to see what you find! I agree, there are just so many names (and as name nerds, we find a lot of them!) and so few babies born to berries compared to the national data that it’s hard to find a ton of repeats or see any clear patterns from year to year. Hopefully you’ll get some better lists.
