What do you think of name Florence nn Flora?

We are pretty set on Florence nn Flora for baby #4 but I am constantly going back and forth on it. It's really the only name we can agree on but I still find myself loving it one moment and then questioning it the next. Currently I'm concerned that the nn is too weird because of the medical definition.

Please tell me what you think of this name and nn and if it makes you think of Flora the medical term.

    Siblings names: Silas, Mabel, Harrison

    Thanks!!

I think Florence (and Flora) go well with Silas, Mabel, and Harrison. I personally feel neutral about the name. I don’t know what medical term you are talking about. Flora is an established name. You could also choose a different nickname; Flossie, Florrie, Ren, ...

I think it fits well with your other kids’ names!
I didn’t think of the medical term until you mentioned it. Flora is a well known, beautiful name and I don’t think many people will think of (for example) intestinal flora when hearing your daughters name.

I think Florence nn Flora is lovely and really fits with your other children’s names. I think people are more likely to think Flora = Flowers than anything else.

I've always seen Flora and Florence as independent names (in fact I know one of each who are friends). I love them both and I think of Flora as the roman goddess, not the medical term.

I'd considered Florence for my first and we would have gone with Flo or Florrie as a nickname if we had.

I think they are lovely. While I am aware of the medical definition, 'flora and fauna' is my first thought, so I just think of flowers.
