    Thoughts on Mavis

    Recently I have been crushing on the name Mavis. What is everyone's thoughts on the name Mavis? Is it to old fashioned? Do you like the name?

    I love it!
    I named one of our chickens Mavis because they all have "old lady" names. So I do think it is an "old lady name" but I love those names and would definitely use it for a child too

    For the record our other chicken names are Martha, Minnie, Meryl and Maggie

    It is an old lady name, but in a way that's coming back round, like Harriet, Matilda and Elsie.
    Mavis might also feel fresh due to the teen/young adult character in Hotel Transylvania. Plus it's similar to Maeve, which is popular and could be a nickname
