    Honouring two grandmothers

    Hi all,

I’d really like to name my next daughter after my two grandmothers, Betty and Winifred. Problem is I like word names/place names and less known names.
Our daughters name is Scout Valentine. I’d like a first name or middle to be a word name. I was thinking Betty Winifred Love or...something.

Does anyone have any combo ideas?

(Note, Betty is just Betty, not short for anything and I’d prefer not to go Elizabeth and call her Betty as I know two new born Elizabeth’s!)

(Also, I don’t really like Winifred as a name, so would prefer it as a middle)

    Thanks!!

Betty and Scout are a bit of a style mismatch, so I wouldn’t use it as a
first name. Something like Sage Betty Winifred sounds fine to me
Maybe Bethany instead of Betty or Elizabeth?

I think Betty and Scout sound cute together!
I like when one is more feminine and one is more masculine.
I personally don't like 2 middle names in a name, but if that's what you like, then I say go for it!
Betty Winifred Love does sound nice

Scout Valentine is absolutely amazing I love it. Would you be willing to use an honor name that isnt their given names? All of my middles are actually honor names.
If it's a path you are willing to look into here are some insperation ideas:
    Birth month
    Birth stone
    Both flower
    Street she lives on
    Street she grew up on
    Hometown
    Favorite author
Something that reminds you of an activity you enjoy doing with them
A virtue you associate with them
A feeling you associate with them
    Their favorite season
    Favorite color
    Favorite animal
    Favorite hobby
    Something they collected
    A character you both love
A word or name you know they loved
A word they use for you (my grandmother calles me Sunshine so I have considered using it as a middle)
Her profession (like Melody to honor a music teacher)

    Best of luck!

As pp mentioned you don’t have to have the exact name for it to be an honour name, I have Leonie on my list to honour both of my grandmothers and my mum who are all Leo’s. Otherwise I love the suggestion of Winter Betty Love, Winter and Scout really go together stylistically.
37, single, still hoping to be a mama someday!

    Favourite first name loves

    Adeline and Gabriel

    Possible Combinations:

Adeline Linnea Carys and Gabriel Frederick Emrys

    Gabriel’s potential brothers

Benedict Thomas Emyr & Elias Auden Leigh

    Adeline’s potential sisters

Rosalie Eliza Seren & Cecilia Annabel Gwyneth

I think Scout and Wynn would be cool for sisters!

Thanks all! I love winter Betty! You’ve definitely given me some other ways to honour my grandmothers and keeping my naming style!
