    Winneda vs. Winona

I was looking for similar names to Winona and came across the uncommon name Winneda. I don't quite know how I feel about it, especially since it has the Win- prefix that I was looking for but has an ending that has a bit tougher of a consonant sound. Thoughts?

I'm saying WIN-eh-duh, and I think it quite interesting. It's different, and I quite like it. It reminds my of Winnet, an archaic form of Winifred. As far as Winona goes, personally, I have a (guilty pleasure type) preference for Wynonna (due to the TV series, Wynonna Earp).

    Other ideas for Win-...
    Winn/Wynn/Wynne
Winslet (another dear GP type love of mine)
    Winter
    Winsome
    Winry

For some reason Winneda sounds like a province of Canada to me. Winona is very pretty and probably more recognised so might be an easier name to bear, but I don't think Winneda sounds objectively bad or anything. She'd probably just have to explain her name a lot.

@sunniva I do quite love Winry, but I have such a strong association to Winry Rockbell from Full Metal Alchemist that I don't know if I could ever put it on a list. My friends and I used to be major weebs and they'd pick up on that in seconds lol.

Maybe you would like Gwyneth if you were hoping to get to the nickname Winnie.

I really like Winneda, but it might be a tough name to live with.

Winona carries old, but not yet vintage vibes for me. Like it hasn't been long enough to come back yet. Like Karen and Judith, ya know?

Other ideas for names starting with Win-
Winslow (very similar to the common Harlow)
Winslet (like Kate, and cuteness overload)
    Windsor (very refined)
    Winstyn
    Winter
    Winette
or Winn. It's really cute and carries only good vibes here in the US. You don't have to pair it with Dixie.

Names with Win as a NN:
    Antoinette
Arwen (yes, I went there and I love it)
    Gwyneth
    Gwynndolyn
    Elowen
    Maewyn
    Gwynovere
    Rowen
    Wendy
    Arianwyn
    Bronwyn
    Eowyn
    Rhonwyn
    Erik Elderkin
    Caedmon James
    Linnea Grace
    and
    Haakon Arthur coming soon
