    Back to the drawing board!

So we had decided on Caroline for a girl name and my husband’s best friend/cousin just announced that they’re naming their little girl Caroline. We hadn’t announced it yet or anything so I’m not angry, but we can’t use it now.
We have quite a few other names we like, but none feel quite right. Do we need to just settle on an “ok” name? I’m not sure we’ll feel 100% about any name at this point!
We want it out of the top 50-ish and not to start with a J, but those aren’t the biggest deal breakers.
The top names we like with the reasons we aren’t sure about them:
    Felicity Anne
    Melody Anne
    Susannah Rae
    Beth Anne
    Laura Joanne
    Sadie Anne

-Felicity Anne-all of our family hates Felicity, it just isn’t sparking as much joy as I want, this is hubby’s top pick
    -Melody Anne-same as above
-Susannah Rae- love that this is a family name, it’s really long, I don’t like the nickname Susie
-Beth Anne (or Elizabeth Anne)- our last name with this name is a well known famous person, it also seems a little plain with our other daughter’s name (Lydia)
-Laura Joanne- my sister’s little girl is Lucy Joanna so this seems a little too close
-Sadie Anne- this is really close to my name and our son’s name is like my husband’s, so this would leave out our middle daughter

Some other names that one of us likes or is a little more popular than we really want, none are 100% ruled out yet-
    Amelia
    Adeline
    Madison
    Rebecca
    Harper
    Audrey
    Savannah
    Sophie
    Jane
    Sarah
    Sydney
    Addison
    Abigail

Open to new suggestions or combinations or names we semi-like. We would really like to use Anne in some form.
    Thanks!!!

I like Susannah Rae for you. It's a spunky combo and not too popular. Do you like Sukie or Zuzu as a nickname? If not I think Susannah works fine without a nickname. Even though it looks long it's only three syllables. I know several Joannas who do not use a nickname.

    A few more ideas ...

    Annabel Rae
    Cora Anne
    Elise Anne
    Eliza Anne
    Georgia Anne
    Tabitha Anne
    Victoria Anne
Greta Cecilia - Alma Josephine - Margot Ines - Ramona Ruth - Naomi Winifred
Elliot Austin - Arthur William - Toby Francis - Frederick Ronan - Oscar Ezekiel

I definitely don’t mind using Susannah without a nickname, we don’t use nicknames for our other kiddos. I guess I’m more worried about someone else giving her the nickname. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hello! I really, really love Susannah Rae for you. Susannah is such a wonderful, underused classic, and Rae is bright and beautiful. A word on nicknames: I think people tend to follow the parents' lead on what to call the child nowadays, so I don't think you'll have to worry about it!

    Alice
    Emilia
    Alma
    Clara/Clarisse/Clarissa
    Louisa
    Nell/Nellie
    Naomi

Thanks for the input! That’s true. I don’t ever give someone a nickname they didn’t say first. And our family was really good about respecting our requests for no nicknames with our son. I guess everyone else doesn’t matter as much!
    I like Naomi!
