    Gavrie? Honest opinion.

What do you think of the name Gavrie or Gavri? It’s a shorter version of Gavriel which is the original Hebrew of Gabriel. It’s pronounced as gahv-ree. ( a soft “a”)

Is it said like GAV-ree (like Gavin) or like GAVE-ree? It sounds a bit awkward to me either way but I think I prefer the first way.

I've never heard of this name until now, but I love the "av" sound (Aviva is a recent favorite of mine). It feels fresh and youthful, yet still imaginable on an adult.

I think I prefer the Gavri spelling.

It's definitely interesting - it sounds charming like Gabby but also sophisticated! I think if you love it go for it! There are lots of unique and fun names out there, Gavri will stand out beautifully!
