    I have never encountered it before but I find it charming. I definitely prefer the Gavri spelling. This spelling looks more like a complete name whereas Gavrie looks nicknamey to me.

    I've never heard of Gavri, but it actually sounds pretty cool. I'd opt for Gavri, as Gavrie looks a bit off.

    Just chiming in to agree with the others, I greatly prefer the Gavri spelling. It does look more like a name (vs. a nickname) that way.

    I think you will have to correct pronunciation a lot. Is it gav-ree (a flat A like in at? OR gahvree (an ahhhh sound), OR gayvree (sounding like Avery)? I think people would learn the correct pronunciation quickly, but there might be a mispronunciation every time someone new reads his name, if that bothers you. I really like the name, though!

    It sounds like two mismatched syllables put together. Doesn't flow off the tongue smoothly.
