    First name for 'k'-heavy surname

    Hello all!

Our surname is two syllables long and sounds like 'Cookman'. I am not pregnant - just gathering names for when the time comes! Both of our middle names begin with 'Lu', so I think it would be sweet if our child shared that with us - I just can't seem to find any names at the moment starting with 'Lu' that fit with our criteria. Any suggestions, name combos, or other help would be greatly appreciated!

    Our criteria:
    • Doesn't end in an 'n' sound
    • Doesn't have a 'k' sound in it anywhere
    • First name isn't two syllables long
    • Is uncommon

Thank you so much for your suggestions! There are so many combos I love above!

I'm looking for just one middle name.

For some reason I completely missed Lumina and Lumi when I was looking through my list for 'Lu' names! I would ideally like either of those names in the middle spot. Lumi is especially sweet because it means 'snow', and I love that!

    Please keep leaving suggestions...

Just popping in with some more ‘lu’ suggestions - Louisa, Lucinda, Lucia, Lupita, Luciana, Luanda, Lucerna, Lucilla, Lucindy, Lucienna, Luetta, Lugenia, Lusina, Louisina, Lulita, Luminosa, Lunetta, Lurana, Lusilla, Lutana, Luvena, Luwana

    Or to get around the two-syllable issue, maybe a double barrel middle name like: Lula-Mae, Lula-Jane, Lula-Joy, Luna-Jo, Luna-May, Luna-Ray, Luna-Leigh, Lucy-Ann, Lucy-Rae, Lucy-Bea, Lucy-Wynn, Lucy-Eve, Lucy-Joy

You could also expand the criteria to any name with a strong ‘lu’ sound (not just starting with it) – like Bluebelle, Plumeria, Tallulah, Nina-Lou, Anna-Louise, Altaluna, Blume, Eluned, Guadalupe, Illuminata, Stellaluna, Melusine
