Late Announcement!
It’s a boy!
We welcomed our son, Royal Callahan, on October 21st! He was 6lbs 11ozs of pure perfection!
He was named after my grandfather, Royal. We kept the name a secret until he was born. He was so incredibly honored. We knew we wanted a middle name that started with C, so that he would have the same initials as my SO. Callahan fit the bill. It’s a name I’ve loved for so long, and it fits our little boy so well.

What a lovely name! My parents did the same thing with my little brother, who was named Curtis Patrick after my Papa Curt and my grandma's maiden name. My parents kept the gender and name a secret until Curtis was born, and my grandparents were so touched when the name was announced in the hospital. I love stories like these!
