    Snail needs a name

    Hi all,

I recently acquired a giant african land snail and it is still in need of a name. I'm torn between something overly serious or something silly. Names I have considered are Pomeline, Egidius, sprout, Balthazar, Archimedes and Lady bug, but nothing sticks.

    Any suggestions?
p.s. snails are hermaphrodites, so anything goes

    Egidius is perfect!

    How about Scipio (Africanus)?
