After a bit of a break thinking about TTC, I've finally got a referral to a fertility specialist. With my last gynecologist just retiring with no warning, I was drained and kinda felt like it wasn't meant to be. But now I'm ready to try again and I'm hopeful for the future.

@townsend2787 I'm sorry this cycle wasn't your BFP cycle. That sounds rough and I definitely can relate. Hope you're ready to try again soon.

@kibby First off, congrats on that amazing weight loss! I'm sure it wasn't an easy journey. I'm glad you've got some answers about the scar tissue. It seems promising, so I hope your procedure goes well!

@meyera4 did AF end up showing up? You're so active and positive in this thread, I really hope you get some good news soon

@spyro, it sounds like you’re feeling rejuvenated and optimistic! I’m excited for you! Hoping the specialist can shed some light for you and get you on the right track!

Thanks for checking on me! AF showed up and I’m on to cycle three after miscarriage. Maybe third times a charm??

I did forget to share that we found out after our D&C our miscarried baby was a boy and we named him Hugo Wolfgang. Hugo means “spirit” and Wolfgang is my husband and sons middle name and they wanted to share that with him. It’s been an emotional few months in our house and my kids keep asking when I’m going to have another baby in my belly. hoping for some good news soon!

I'm prepared for a long road ahead, but I'm definitely carefully optimistic. I find if I let myself get too optimistic I get disappointed and depressed. But hey, I've been TTC for a few years now with not even a sign of being pregnant so I'm definitely excited to try new things. We've decided we won't do IVF if it comes to that, though. Not only is it expensive, I think it would be emotionally too much.

I'm sorry for your loss, but Hugo Wolfgang is a beautiful name. It's fitting, and the thought your whole family put into it is so lovely. I bet it is so hard to have your kids asking about a new baby, but they wouldn't know the pain of being asked that. My mother in law didn't know we were struggling ttc and kept asking when and bringing grandkids up all the time. I finally had to tell her that I have fertility issues and she hasn't brought it up since.

I'm hopeful this cycle is the one for you, you and your family deserve a new baby. Fingers crossed!

Good luck, @lucydc! I hope you catch that egg!

I started my period the other day so I'm on to cycle 4 after miscarriage. Totally agree with you @lucydc that there is always hope! So I'm moving forward with that in mind!

I'm trying to approach things differently this month. I've been really down about my body not "doing its job" but this month I'm trying to focus on all the good it has done. My body is healthy and able, it's brought forth two cute AF kids, I was in the past a gymnast and a college cheerleader, and now I depend on it for my job (my side job is an aerialist in a local circus), and even though I feel like it's failing me in this aspect of my life, I'm trying to be kinder to it. Sounds silly when I write it out loud, but I'm just trying to be more gracious and forgiving to myself in general, especially in things I can't control.

Thinking of everyone in this group and hoping for lots of new pregnancies soon!

@meyera4 That's very kind of you to think of me! There's nothing new over here, and I haven't spoken to the fertility doctor yet so we're just waiting. Your side job is an aerialist? Wow! You should definitely be proud of all your body has achieved then! It's not silly, it's good to appreciate yourself. Especially after a miscarriage, we need to be kind to ourselves. There are just some things we can't control.

Here's to hoping for at least one more BFP in here before the new year!
