Starting to talk about baby #4

Not pregnant, but my husband and I are thinking about the possibility of a 4th child. Naturally, it has me thinking about names and I wanted some input from the experts:

    1. Beatrice is a top candidate, but while I prefer this form, husband likes Beatrix. The x ending just sounds like it's trying a bit too hard to me. Unfair judgment?

    2. Another top choice is Edith. Thoughts? How does it compare to Beatrice?

Other names on the longer list. Any that should be promoted to short list or other suggestions?

    Elizabeth
    Eleanor
    Cecilia
    Susan/Susanna
    Jane/Joan
    Theresa
    Alice
    Sarah

Names I like but can't use:

    Mary
    Catherine
    Mom to:

    Margaret Ruth (born October 2012)
    Anne Marcella (born December 2014)
    Peter Bartholomew (born June 2017)

I personally prefer Beatrix, but with your sibset, I favour Beatrice. Margaret, Anne, Peter and Beatrice, sound right.

Edith is nice, but I still prefer the joyous, sweet Beatrice. From your longer list, I really like Eleanor, Alice, Elizabeth and Cecilia.

Although I adore Beatrix, I also think Beatrice is better with your sibset.

I like Elizabeth, Eleanor, Susannah, Edith, and Alice...

Do you use nicknames or do you call your children by their full names? This would influence my favorites for you.

Margaret usually goes by her full name but we sometimes use Maggie. Anne and Peter are usually Annie and Pete. We like nicknames but we also like them to be organic and we often use the full formal names.

    Anne Marcella (born December 2014)
    Peter Bartholomew (born June 2017)
