    Henry/Hank

I am pregnant with our third child, and Henry is a top choice of ours if it's a boy. However, my husband says he would probably want to call him Hank-which was our deceased dog's name. Any thoughts on whether this is totally weird or acceptable? (We like the name on it's own and wouldn't be naming it after the dog either.)

Haha... my first thought was "We named the dog Indiana" but I have movie quotes on the brain today. Love the name Hank and I think if you can get over it then everyone else will.

I think it's fine if the dog's been gone awhile. If all your friends would know it was the dog's name, then it could get awkward. What about Hal?

Personally, I wouldn't ever be able to call my future daughter Abby because it was my cat's name. If you feel comfortable go for it.

I love Henry nn Hank so much. Henry nn Harry would also work too.
