I currently have two kids. They are so wonderful and I love being a mommy! Ideally, I would have 4. My husband, however, wants to be done. They are too stressful for him and two is plenty. I don't want to stress him out more, but I also feel like I am not done having kids. So we'll probably revisit the idea in a couple of years (we still have a 9 month old so we're not out of the baby stage - which is toughest for him). I think we'll probably end up trying for one more.

Every couple/family is different. And it's a lot different when you actually start your own family. You have to do what is best for you, whether that be no children, one or more. My sister-in-law has 6 kids and wants more, and that's what is best for them! I couldn't do that many, but I applaud her and others for having a lot of kids. And there are some of my friends who don't want kids, which is fine too!

Huh. I thought I'd replied to this already . Anyway, I don't have kids now, as I'm only 18 and can barely deal with being a responsible adult, but a sort of realistic ideal would be 4 kids, 2 biological and 2 adopted. But if I reached 30 and didn't have an SO or any children I'd be perfectly happy with 2 or maybe 3. I definitely want kids, and more than 1, because I'd like to avoid them being an only child (from my own experience, in short; it sucks), so 2 would be my minimum. I feel like I'd love to have loads of kids, but I very much doubt in terms of money or time that would be realistic, but then again you never know.
