Thoughts on my list :-)
I'd love some thoughts on my list! And some suggestions too if you have any :-)
With most of the names these are my concerns:
Too popular (I'm not sure whether I am bothered by popularity, not having experienced this with my own name I'm not sure how I feel about it!):
Peter (not overly popular with new babies, but generally a 'common feeling' name)
And the opposite (too 'out there'?):
Lack of nicknames/ don't like the nicknames (Again, I've never had a nickname myself, I'm not sure if I would like one for my child):
Samuel (I don't mind Sam, but much prefer Samuel)
The list as a whole:

Peter - Peter is lovely, it's classic & strong, but youthful on a little boy.
Samuel - I really like Samuel. I know a couple of them though, which is why I have Samson on my list as an alternative.
Barnaby - Barnaby is a great name, and it goes wonderfully with your other names!
August - I love love love August. Always have, always will.
Edward - I love this too! I would love to meet a little Edward.
Iris - Iris is gorgeous. Sweet & simple.
Charlotte - I love Charlotte, but I have always had trouble finding a middle for her. She goes perfectly with your list.
Genevieve - I've never been a big fan of Genevieve for some reason, but meeting a little Genevieve would be lovely.
Lyla - It's nice, but I don't love it. I think I prefer the Lila spelling, but the Y looks good in there too. It is a little less classic than the other names on your list, but if your say the names together, it works.
Emmeline - Emmeline is lovely. It's one of those names that fit with anything.
Clementine - I love this with your list, and it's not at all out there (well, to me, anyway.)
Marguerite - I think I prefer this to Margaret, the sound is so pretty!
Lyla could always be a nickname for Emmeline.

Peter - I have not heard the name Peter for a very long time. I actually like seeing it on someone's list.
Samuel - I feel very neutral about Samuel. I have known/know way too many Samuels, Sams, and Sammys.
Edward - I am not too fond of Ed, so personally I do not care for the name. Besides that, this is another name thatI do not hear much any more.
Charlotte - I love Charlotte. Charlotte is beautiful and sweet, nickname Lottie spunky and charming.
Lyla - I know Lyla/Lila is popular on Nameberry but I do not care for the lie part.
Barnaby - I personally do not care for Barnaby but I feel the name is so spunky.
Clementine - I love Clementine, she is so sweet and charming.
If you do not want your child to have a nickname, then do not use one. I have heard people on this forum say that you cannot avoid them, well I know otherwise.
August - I would use August as a middle name, it honors.
Iris - I am unsure why but I have never cared for this name...maybe because it also reminds me of irises of the eye
Genevieve - I personally would not use Genevieve but I quite like the name.
Emmeline - I love Emmeline. If I did not fall head over heals with Maebry and Emilia, Emmeline would have been our number one.
Marguerite - I prefer Margaret.

Peter - I love this! I feel like it's uncommon enough on young children that it'd feel fresh even if it has a common air to it.
Samuel - Very nice name, though I think this one would not sound as unusual on any age.
Edward - I have the same feeling as with Peter. Edward also has the bonus of lending itself to more uncommon nicknames like Ned or Ted.
Charlotte - Same as Samuel - very nice, but definitely too common if that's something that'd bother you.
Lyla - I don't like this spelling very much. I vastly prefer Lila, Lilah, Layla or Leila.
Barnaby - While I like this one, it may be a bit too uncommon. Barney is still all purple dinosaur to me, too, and I'm not sure a little Barnaby could easily avoid the nickname!
Clementine - I love this. I'd use it in a heartbeat.
Genevieve - So beautiful. My favorite out of your girl options!
August - Augustin is my favorite boy's name, so I love this!
Iris - Lovely name, and I personally have an excellent association with it!
Emmeline - Also lovely. The only reason I'd hesitate before using it would be in case it'd get shortened to Em/Emmie/Emme and be lumped in with all the Emmas and Emilys out there!
Marguerite - I'm not a huge fan personally, though it's a perfectly fine name. I much prefer Margaret.
Madeleine (may be too common for you, but it was one of the first that came to mind!)
