    Names to go with Key

    Hi everyone!

As I'm going off to college next year, I decided to begin this new chapter in my life with a name change. My surname is Key, and I'm looking for a name beginning with K, as name alliterations just seem a lot more memorable to me. I'm not set on this yet, so I'm still open to other letters as well!

I like unique yet not too fussy names. Currently I'm considering Kylie and Keira, but I feel like they might clash with my last name (Kylie Key? Keira Key?) and they're quite common. I also really like Elliott (my friends disagreed with that name though) and Vera. A more unique name would be a lot nicer, but I can't seem to find any. Oh and I really like the name Katherine too!

    Thanks for all your help!

Vera & Katherine Key are beautiful & work well. Katherine lends itself to nicknames but is also a bit formal/profession which might be nice post-college.

Do you want it to link/relate to your current name at all?

    Adelyn Key
    Aveline Key
    Ayla Key
    Bronwyn Key
    Elisabeth Key
    Emiliana Key
    Evelyn Key
    Fairlie Key
    Gweneth Key
    Lara Key
    Laura Key
    Lauren Key
    Lyra Key
    Madelyn Key
    Mira Key
    Myra Key

Key reminds me of Irish names. What about..

    Aislinn Key
    Fiona Key
    Fionnuala Key
    Kaitlin Key
    Ireland Key
    Muriel Key

    Oh & Maeva Key?

I like Taryn, Lyra, and Mira from that list. Lena is another name I really like! I'm not planning on relating to my current name, though I think shorter names (e.g. around 2 syllables) are probably more suitable for me.

I really like Kylie & Keira! I don't think Keira clashes with Key at all - I think that's just how alliteration works Mind you, they both start with Ke - do you want a name that doesn't start with that e sound? How about names that start with C but have that harsh K sound? Caroline Key? Cassia Kay? Caoimhe Key? (Caoimhe is pronounced Kwee-va). Katalina? Carlotta? Katrina? Casey, Cassie, Cassidy, Carly? Katherine nn Kate or Katie is cool. Kaleigh (Cal-lee). Kaylie. It's probably best to find a name that doesn't end in the "ee" sound, as that will sound to rhyme-y with your last name.

I'm going to university next year too!

    Some other ideas:
    Sierra Key
    Brynna Key
    Isla Key
    Naomi Key
    Alice Key
    Violet Key

Beatrice Flora Jane, Clara Felicity Kate, Rosalie Linnea Tess, Alexa Coralie Eve, Emmeline Alaska Sophie,
Charlie Jay, Gideon Bruce, Henry Liam

Also searching for ways to include:
Adeline, Avalon, Eliza, Greta, Imogen, Isla, Leora, & Winnie.
Asher, Caleb, Edwin, Felix, Grant, Hugo, Lachlan, Ronan, Rhett, & Wyatt.

Hi waverly123! nice to see lots of college-aged people on nameberry haha. It's funny I was actually so close to changing my name to Isla, but backed last minute. I also really like Alice and Katalina. Hmm so far I feel like Keira might be the most likely one.
