This is a tough one. I, too, would like to know Gay's middle name. Perhaps you could do a "smoosh" of the two names or use her maiden name.

    Gia
    Giandrea
    GiAnne
    Gabrielle/Gabriella
    Joy (Gay means joyful)
    Gabel/Gable
    Gabe
    Galla
    Gala
    Galia
    Gage/Gaige
    Gaila
    Galena
    Galila
    Galilee
    Galiena
    Galiya
    Gasha
    Garrette
    Gavin

You could use a name that ends with or contains Ga, Gay, Gae:
    Marga
    Margarite
    Inga
    Ellega/Elga
    Maiga
    Olga
    Vega/Vaiga/Vayga
    Ngaio (NYE-oh)
    Son: Jacob Milton
    Grandchildren: Shiloh, Niko,
    and Archer Shawn

    Current favorites:
Jensen, Althea, Alliyah, McKaili, Lilliana, Briar, Kiley, Madilyn, Athena
Eli, Noah, Sebastian, Theo, McKia, Elio

Above poster mention Gae. Maybe that will be better option (but the sound...).

I plan on honoring my mother by using her birth month as a middle name (June).

    Other ideas:
    Favorite flower, birthstone, surname?

My first thought was Abigail, Merry or Joy. I think I'd go with Joy. It's also three letters, ends in a -y and has the same meaning!
    Nora ~ Alice ~ Esmé ~ Elise ~ Lucy ~ Fiona ~ Grace ~ Rose ~ Vivienne ~ Evelyn ~ Genevieve

    Henry ~ Patrick ~ George ~ James ~ Oliver ~ Theodore ~ Joseph ~ Lucas ~ Atticus ~ Isaac ~ Thomas

Thank you for all these wonderful ideas! I love the possibility of using a name that shares the meaning of the name Gay. I have a whole new list to consider now ...
