I read it when I was still a teenager, but I'm definitely not a Murakami expert - or a fan, for that matter. My half-Japanese friend adores him, though.

That's alright. I have a bunch of thoughts I want to discuss haha, not really good or bad (For example, I loved the writing, but some aspects of the plot and characters were quite problematic as well haha). It's just so interesting t oread other people's thought on books!

I also recently finished The Plot Against America by Philip Roth (also a divisive and problematic author) and although it was slow, I enjoyed the plot (hehe) a lot. There's gonna be an HBO miniseries based on it, and Winona Ryder is going to be in it.

Currently reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid and With he Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo.

Right now, I'm currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, a bit more explicit then I'm used to reading since I usually read YA. But it's pretty good so far. I like the writing and I'm enjoying most of the characters. I don't really plan to watch the show though but maybe I'll change my mind later on.

I'm also reading The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. I decided to pick it up because I remember a Youtuber I watch recommend it and it sounded quite interesting. Although it is quite a bit more slow-paced then I thought it would be, I can't wait to get to the twist!
