Exclamation Nicknames You Love, But You Don't Like The Full Name.

I'm in that situation at the moment. I absolutely love the nickname Teddy, but I don't like any Theo-, Ted- or Ed- names. I've been trying to make myself like Theodore, but I just can't.

Anyone else gone through similar situations?

I actually love Theodore, and all its nicknames, but for me my absolute favourite nickname is Finn, but I really hate Finley/ Finnegan. I've kind of cheated a bit though, and got around it by making Finn a nickname for Phoenix; my second fave boys name.

I really like Leo but don't like full versions, and think it's too short to go on its own (for me).
Just like today's article on the many nicknames of Margaret, I like many of them but would want a full version... Just not Margaret. Marguerite isn't right for me either.

I like Poppy, but I don't think it stands well on its own. I've seen it as a nickname for Penelope, but I don't like Penelope.

I love the names Max and Penny, but I'm not a fan of Maxwell and Penelope. Naming a child just Max or Penny doesn't sound right to me either-these nn sound more like pet names.
