Thanks, ladies! @coco1010 - Lilia Beatrix is actually the top contender if I do honor my grandfather. I'm still not sure I want to, but if I do, it's pretty high up there. Belle is lovely, but with Isabelle being my top choice for a girl, I shy away from other Belle names (much as I love them!). I love Bethany, but it sort of sounds weird with Lilia. Or is that just me?

@kateri - what literature is Lilia in?! I'm a total lit nerd, this is driving me crazy. I like many other Lily forms, too (Lilias, Lilibet, Liliana, Lilevi, Liliane--even Elisabeth nn Lily!), but I've managed to narrow it down to these two, so I'm pretty sure it'll be one of the two.

I prefer Lilia, it's more spunky whereas Lillian is more buttoned up sounding to me. I love Lilia Josephine.

    I like Lillian.
Growing up I knew a girl named Lilia who was Russian, and from then on I've considered the name Russian, whether it is or not.
