Amazing thread idea! However, I'm disappointed in the exceedingly small number of Beatles fans here. lol I usually don't like anymore than 2 or 3 songs from a group/band/singer, so if I like 4 or 5 or more of their songs, I say they're one of my "favorites". lol So, here's my list of bands. I'll do a list of solo artists, if I need to. (Mainly older rock music with some less-old stuff mixed in. lol)

    The Beach Boys
    Good Vibrations
    Help Me Rhonda
    I Get Around

The Beatles (I bet nobody had any idea I liked them.)
    Here Comes the Sun
    Roll Over Beethoven
    I'm Only Sleeping

    The Doors
    Hello I Love You
    Riders on the Storm

    Guns N' Roses
    Sweet Child O' Mine
    Paradise City

    Enter Sandman
    For Whom the Bell Tolls
    Master of Puppets

    The Monkees
    Randy Scouse Git
    Last Train to Clarksville

    The Rolling Stones
    The Last Time
    19th Nervous Breakdown
    As Tears Go By

    The Who
    Baba O'Reilly
    I Can See For Miles
    Won't Get Fooled Again

Paul McCartney and Wings (I know, I know.)
    With a Little Luck
    Junior's Farm

    Solo artists:

    Billy Joel
    My Life
    Piano Man

    Elvis Presley
    Blue Suede Shoes
    In The Ghetto

George Harrison (I guess this doesn't really count, since I already said The Beatles, but whatever. lol)
    What Is Life
    My Sweet Lord
    Give Me Love

    Ozzy Osbourne
    Crazy Train
    I Don't Wanna Stop

    Ringo Starr (See above.)
    Walk With You
    It Don't Come Easy

Ooh, a music thread! I tend to play music while I'm doing research or working online. Favourite artists in bold, song names in regular type, haha, in case it's confusing.

The Seekers (my favourite group ever and they have the best story- formed in the '60s, broke up a few years later but have re-formed many times since then)
    The Carnival is Over
    I'll Never Find Another You
Keep a Dream in Your Pocket
Love is Kind, Love is Wine
    Georgy Girl
With My Swag All On My Shoulder
    etc. (almost all their songs)

    Vera Lynn
    The Holy City
    Abide With Me
    There Comes a Day
    Travellin' Home
    We'll Meet Again

    Hayley Westenra
    A Thousand Winds
    May it Be
    Wuthering Heights
    World in Union
    Both Sides Now

    Helmut Lotti
    Lara's Theme
    A Whiter Shade of Pale
    Du, nur du Allein

    Andre Rieu (and vocalists)
Ich Hab Mein Herz in Heidelberg Verloren
    Zwei Kleine Italiener
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again
etc. (My favourite of his vocalists is probably Mirusia)

    Mary Hopkin
    Knock Knock, Who's There
    Streets of London

    John McDermott
    Daughter of Mine
    Loch Lomond

    John Denver
    Four Strong Winds
Leaving on a Jet Plane (so sad because he died in a plane crash)
    Take Me Home, Country Roads

And for some reason I love listening to patriotic songs and national anthems of other countries. Not that I understand most of it. Some of my favourites are I Vow to Thee, My Country (England), Advance Australia Fair, and Mila Rodino (Bulgaria).

    Ahhh, and so much more...

Also, where do other people discover new music? I mostly find stuff on YouTube (listening to national anthems, as I said above, introduces you to a lot of singers from other countries). Some of it my mum told me about, some from movie soundtracks. My friends tend to have really different taste so we don't really talk about music.

I have found a chart called the world top 50 chart which has music from all over the world of you tube I also use the iTunes top 200, the Aria charts (australias national charts) ad Billboard, mostly because I like quite popular music though my favourite just dropped out of the iTunes top 50 and is 40 on the Aria charts I might need to drop it soon I've played it 430 times and loved it since june but I'm still not over it
edit: since it has since dropped to 60 on the iTunes chart we have the xfactor winner and 1d in the top two spots on itunes
