    I have never heard "Aryan" pronounced like Arianne. Aryan rhymes with Ian. Arianne rhymes with Julianne (not Julian). To some, it's a small difference, but the difference is still there.

    I didn't say it was pronounced like Arienne. But I don't pronounce Arienne or Aryan the ways you described. Like I said before, perhaps there are differences in dialects. I have no idea how it is pronounced in Britain or Australia. Again, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot poll, and for me that means staying away from similar names. To each their own on that nuance, as long as Aryan itself isn't used.
