Question Wendy - is there an alternative?

    Hi Berries!

Is there a nice alternative or long form of Wendy besides Guinevere?
I've always like it for the literature connection as I do Winnie (Tuck Everlasting) but I suppose if its a middle name it won't matter anyway

Gwendolen seems like the best one, it's even got the d. gWENDolen. Or Gwendolyn!

Then there's all the other -wen names; Anwen, Arwen, Elowen, Bronwen, Branwen, Lowenna, Morwenna, Gwennan, Gwenno, Blodwen, Olwen, Gwenllian, Eirwen, Eirawen, Lilwen... or just Wendy which is lovely all on its own.

I was about to suggest Gwendolen/Gwendolyn too. But Wendy doesn't really have a long form as such, as it was a name invented for the Peter Pan story anyway.

If you're averse to using Wendy as a full name, how about something like Arwen Diana nn Wendy?

    Anna Katherine * Lydia Ellen * Zoe Madeleine * Phoebe ___ * Imogen ___ * Emilia ___
    Samuel * Thomas * Charlie * Reuben * Oliver * George

Winifred, like Wendy in The Shining. That was my first thought. All of the -wen options like Rowen & Arwen and all of the Gwen names too. Edwina & Winona could be possibilities. I think Winifred is the best option though!
