I love Maren and Marina. Marion and Miriam are lovely, too. And of course, my daughter's name, Maura, is an Irish variant of Mary. I think Mary is really lovely on its own, though. It would be refreshing to meet a young Mary, it's used so seldom these days.

How about putting something in front, like Anne-Marie?

My mom is named Mary so I am always thinking about this...I like the name itself and a few variants but I also think it's sooo sweet as a middle.

    Scarlet Mary
    Sofia Mary
    Violet Mary
    Harper Mary
    Serafina Mary
    Rosalind Mary
    Addison Mary

Also Mary Elizabeth could be Maisie

Molly and Polly are diminutives of Mary, what do you think of them? My favorite forms of Mary are Mara and Miriam. I second the suggestions of Rosemarie/Rosemary, Amaryllis, and Marigold.

I really love Maris or Marisa and Marissa as a variation of Mary. Although I´m a huge fan of the original Mary, too
