    Lila or Ruby?

Hi everyone! This is my first post on Nameberry!
I'm not expecting, but two names are currently fighting for the number 3 position on my favorite names list; Lila(h) and Ruby.
    My list goes like this:

    1) Clara (probably mn Lily)
    2) Maya
    3) Lila(h)/Ruby
    4) Rose
    5) Annabel
    6) Grace (I know its uber popular, but I love it!)
    7) Leah
    8) Violet
    9) Ivy
    10) Lena/ Sophie (still deciding, could use opinions on this one too!)

Which name do you prefer, and why?

    Hey there! Welcome!

First of all, you have a lovely taste in names. Secondly, I love your username.

    Righto, down to business...
I prefer Lila as a first name Ruby as a middle name. I love Lena, I always have, so I'm biased. But Sophie is a beautiful name too.

    Jude, blackbird.

Personally I prefer Ruby, but they both have so much spunk that they go well together! Lila Ruby would be a gorgeous name, and Lila & Ruby would be a gorgeous sibset.

I prefer Lyla over Lila because people will know how to pronounce it right away. I've met a few Lila's that pronounced it like Lily. Though if you did Lyla Ruby or Lyla & Ruby, it would be kind of matchy. Some people like that, others don't.

To be honest, Lila, Ruby, Ivy, Lena, Maya, and Violet are the only names that really stand out to me in uniqueness and personality. Clara, Annabel, and Grace, to me, are very dull, cut and dry.

But if you're set on Clara Lily, I wouldn't have Lila as a first, as Lila and Lily are pretty similar.
