I so want to love this name, but when I say it aloud it sounds like Ella-dee (Melody sounds like Mella-dee). I have a flat New York/New England accent, so it could be a regional thing.

Elodie was on our list as #1 for the first 7 months of my pregnancy but as time went on, I got tired of people saying "Oh, like Melody without the M." Naturally I quickly veteod the name and we went back to square one but it is a lovely name.

very pretty name...the "E" also has an accent over it in the French spelling.

Aurelie, Coralie, and Magali are similar sounding French names that I like.
