I kind of adore the idea of Etta Lynn or Etta-Lynn.

I'd go for just Etta or just Edison. But for Pete's sate, don't name her Ettasyn!

Ettasyn looks very trashy, imo, like something an illiterate teen mom would choose. You obviously have good taste in names like Etta and Edison. I'd sick with just Etta; short and sweet, unique yet familiar, normallly spelled, easy to pronounce. I don't see a downside!

If your inspiration behind Edison is Thomas Edison, you could consider other science names that would be more appropriate for girls: Tesla and Marie come to mind first, but I'm positive there are several more.
I hope to be a mom one day. For now I enjoy being a name lover.

My apologies for any typos; i post from my mobile phone.

Etta is a very pretty name, but Ettasyn is entirely too trendy. Maybe Ettasine? It's not quite the same pronunciation, but I think it's nice : )

Although you may like Ettasyn I would not chose that name. It definitely looks made up. As others have suggested I would use Etta or Colette, Cosette, Odette, Rosette. I do like the name Edison but IMO it is a boy's name.
