    Question Baby Name: Lennox

My husband loves the name Knox and I like it but think it may make a better middle name than a first name but came across the name Lennox where Nox or Knox could be a nickname. What are your thoughts, do you think the nickname works for it and do you see it as a boy name or a girl name?

I think if you really want to get Nox/Knox as a nickname, Lennox is the perfect way to do so. I admittedly associate it with a girl more than a boy, even though it sounds like a boy name because of its use on the TV show Melissa & Joey.

I've loved Lennox for years! I think it's great. Punchy, and contemporary-sounding but it's also Shakespearean.
I only think of it as a boy name, though.

Definitely a boy name, IMO. I like it much better than just Knox.

I'll be honest and say that I associate it more with a girl, mainly because of Mary Lennox of The Secret Garden. I like it and feel it's much more 'namey' than Knox or Nox.
