    How popular is too popular?

How popular can a name be for your child(ren)??

Top #100, #500, etc. Does it change for a boy or girl?

.. Personally I think about #50 or higher. Though if I loved a name that fell in #45 I would still use it, but #15 I wouldn't.

Popularity was never something I've concerned myself with. Landon and Addison are both quite popular and I still used them. I don't think a name sitting at number 1 that I love and is fitting for my baby, would sway me from using it. That's just me. I do see a lot of others here who feel completely different than I do on names.

There is no such thing as "too popular" for me. To me, it's not about popularity but trendiness. A popular name isn't necessarily trendy and a trendy name isn't necessarily popular.

Popularity has never been huge deal for me, if I loved the #1 name, I would use it.
