Ditto this. I love Tamora Pierce's character names! Always so apt.

It's like Brian with an R. Totally usable.

I have it on my list for a girl.

It's hardy, strong, and thorny yet the flowers are beautiful, and the hips are colourful all winter and support the birds? Wild roses aren't full and delicate like the hybrids, but their simple five-petal flowers are rather beautiful in their own way. Admittedly I like some really thorny plants - I love Hawthorn for a boy.
