Liev and Dexter are totally usable. I'd avoid Bear (it'd be okay as a random nickname though) and Laing (is that Lang?).

Dexter - my favorite from your list
    Liev - my second choice
Laing - I'm not sure how to pronounce it but I would say like Lang or Laying. Either way, I can see teasing potential.
Bear - It's cute as a nickname but not a given name. You could use it as a nickname with any first name.

    My List:
GIRLS: Alda, Aldina, Bernice, Carolina, Elaine, Esmeralda, Glenora, Harley, Lillian
BOYS: Alden, Euan, Glenwell, Harley, Walt, Wells

I'm with the majority on this one! Dexter or Liev. Bear as a nickname/term of endearment. Not sure what to make of Laing.
