    British Girl Names??

I have been loving British girl names lately. I have always loved the name Eleanor, but I always thought people may think it's too old fashioned even with the cute nickname El. I would love some suggestions and your thoughts on Eleanor. I have a baby girl due in less than two week, so all help is greaty appreciated!

Eleanor doesn't seem old-fashioned to me. In fact it's #135 on the SSA list, so I'm thinking a lot of people would consider maybe it not modern, but relevent! It's a gorgeous, classic name.
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot

    Here you go:

Everything you'd want to know about British naming stats from 1996 - 2010. The 2011 names are somewhere too

★ August Eli Benedict ★ Bram ★ Casimir Mordecai ★ Edmond John Meirion ★ Gillon ★
    ★ Jory Leander ★ Julian Charles ★ Macsen ★ Magnus ★ Vasiliy ★

    ★ Aira Rose ★ Arietta ★ Clover ★ Delphina ★ Eleni ★ Fiorella ★ Hester Isobel ★

Sorry to anyone who read TSI. First draft was terrible. Second drafting now.

I love it. I think it's just beautiful, and has a lot of possibility--an Eleanor could be anything, from a professional soccer player to a history teacher to a naturopathic physician to a journalist to a detective to a chef. It's one of my all-time favorites.
