    Mae ___(insert middle name)___

We decided on using Mae as a first name for a future daughter and would like to add more names to pair with it as possible middle names. Here are names on our list so far:

    Mae Beatrice
    Mae Daphne
    Mae Eliza
Mae Emmeline (pronounced leen, not line or lyn)
    Mae Felicity
    Mae Imogen
    Mae Josephine

Other more daring middle names we have discussed include:

Mae Azalea - Is it too much pairing Mae with a flower name?
    Mae Lavender
    Mae Persephone
    Mae Waverly
Mae Winter - I love it but is it too seasonal/time of the year sounding?

We tend to like literary and whimsical/nature names so any suggestions, especially whimsical/nature names, would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot

Ooh, I have thought about this a bit since Mae is my #1 girls' name

I love Mae Felicity and Mae Imogen from your list; the only ones I don't think work are Mae Winter (for the reason mentioned) and Mae Waverly (May-Way sound redundant to me). I like a lot of the pp's suggestions, too. I would add:

    Mae Marilla
    Mae Georgiana
    Mae Lisette
    Mae Jessamine
    Mae Elyse
    Mae Halcyon
    Mae Marguerite

I like Emmeline and josephine form your first list, the flow seems the best with those two.
as for your second list, I like Azalea and Persephone. Winter is very beautiful but I agree with you-it does sound Very season oriented, like you are putting it there becuase she is a winter baby.

    some suggestions for both lists:

    list one:

Alicia (kind of like Azalea but less shocking)
Levinia (like this one a lot)

    list two:

    XOXO Whillemina
    Crazy and Happy Name-Obsessed Teen
    Kirrily, Rosalind, Tamsin, Josephine

Mae Josephine is my favorite, followed by Mae Emmeline.
Mae Rosamund and Mae Rosalind also came to mind when I read your post.
