My sister's name is Maeve- which I love and find very strong. Mavis isn't as pretty to me... for some reason it conjures the homely girl in Catholic school. Sorry!

I absolutely love it. To me Mavis sounds spunky, smart, adventurous, vintage and modern at the same time. It's a great name and I would love to see it used more often.

I do like the name Mavis although it still feels just a tad too old to me. I definitely want to use it in the middle in one of my combos however.
