Political associations aside, I like the name Thatcher. Not so much with Truman

Politics aside, I love Truman. It's a great name that would be on my list if it weren't for the president and the similarity to Freeman (family name) that is also on my list. I'm not crazy about Thatcher though, mostly because it just isn't my style.

The Truman show, also dingbat Martha stewart's daughter named her kid Truman. I always think of Thatcher Longstreth when i hear the name Thatcher. he was a descendent of a distinguished Quaker family in Philadelphia. A bit pretentious.

As names, I like both of them... I know a number of Trumans, both in the 70+ and newborn category. It does make me think of The Truman Show, and Truman... who wasn't really my favourite president. I also think of Truman Madsen, who was a religious philosopher in my religion... perhaps for that the name is rather familiar to me. Thatcher has a cool sound, but she's a much more recent political figure... so there would probably be more of a possibility of problems.
