It isn't "unisex", it's a boy's name. Luca on a girl is horribly trashy, but it's gorgeous on a boy. Honestly, my hackles always rise when someone asks if a boys' name is too "feminine". How is "feminine" a bad quality to have?

Not at all - that was my grandfather's name, but when he came over from Italy he went by Luke.
Proud mommy to Levi Larson. Expecting #2 (gender surprise) in August.

I love Luca (since the old days of the show ER). It is a beautiful name and is absolutely all male to me. It would be a handsome, strong choice!

Definitely masculine to me. In a sexy, dark-haired, Euro-accented kind of way.

all boy to me. It makes me think of a character from ER who's name was Luka.
