    Balian? Too girly?

Hubby mentioned he liked the name Balian. Do you think it's too girly?
Which spelling do you prefer? Balian, Baylian, Balien ?
Would it be too much with the last name sounds like Lennon?
Would probably use the nickname Bay, middle name would be William.

I'm not sure how to pronounce it... BAY-lee-an??

I think Balian William Lennon is very 'l' heavy...

I think Bay William Lennon is very handsome though - is Bay not an option on it's own??

ETA - sorry, didn't answer the 'girly' question... I think I'd probably categorise it as unisex...

    Good luck

It doesn't look "too girly". I prefer the original spelling - Balian. I'd pronounce it bal (rhymes with val or sal)-ee-un. Balian Lennon is "l" heavy, especially so with the middle name of William. Bay does sound a bit too feminine.

I'm assuming it's pronounced Bay-lee-uhn. If so, it is a bit too girly for me, as is the nn Bay. Balian William Lennon... Lalalala, so many L's!
