I LOVE your spelling of Madeleine!!! You should definitely use it! Seriously, when I have kids, I'd be tempted to name my first girl Madeleine just so I could use this spelling! Even though the name is popular, I think the beautiful spelling would help set your daughter apart from all the Madalyn/Madelyns out there. I actually think it goes quite well with Ella, which is a fairly popular name as well. I also like the nn Maddy, however, I know several Madalyns who are never called anything but Madalyn because their parents only ever introduced them by their full names, so if you don't like the nn, I don't think it'd be too hard to avoid. Also, I DO think Vivienne would be a *bit* fussy compared to Ella (but even then I don't think it's a huge deal), but I don't think Madeleine would be at all. Ella is a princessy name to me, and so is Madeleine. I think they go together quite well! You could always use a short middle to counterbalance it if you still think it's too much.

My definite favorite is Vivienne. It is so feminine, sweet, and gorgeous!

I like Ava Madeleine. But if I should pick only one, I pick Madeleine.
Sorry for bad English, I am from other country

Thank you, ladies. Ack, I can't decide! If my husband were favoring Madeleine, I'd be sold. But he's really pushing for Vivienne, which is why I am so torn.
