I don't like using traditionally boy names for girls and vice versa. For example I hate Lincoln and Maxwell for girls, it's been a while and it still hasn't grown on me.

Name that I love that no one else seems to like: Ulysses - my family insists he would get beat up.

I had a student names Ulysses once! No one teased him or anything...but I was teaching kindergarten, so maybe that had something to do with it. But, honestly, I don't think having a "weird" name is something kids get beat up or made fun of for much anymore. I taught 5th grade for awhile and those kids can be M-E-A-N, but I never once heard any of them made fun of for their names, and we had a lot of unique ones. So many people give their kids unusual names now, kids don't even know what a "weird" name is.

I don't like really old names. Like Blythe. That name is so gross to me. Olive is a name I intensely dislike. It is just so ugly.
