Yes, technically to be a portmanteau, it has to take only PART of each name or word, eg Smog or Laundromat.
    Latest list:

    Girl: Emilia, Navy
    Boy: Franklin, Gage

Mommy to one sweet little boy who I loved naming Lennox Andrew Michael

My cousin's name is Karlee, which is a name on its own, but hers is technically a portmanteau. It's a mash up of Karen (my mom's name) and LeeAnn (her other aunt's name).

I had a friend who was considering Jaycee for a girl because her S/O's name began with J and her name began with C, but I'm not sure that counts?

I also worked with a Kerrilyn named after her mom's best friend and her grandmother.
