    How do you say Marigold?

    Mara-gold? Mary-gold? Something else?

    I say Mare-a-gold, but I think any of them are correct.

    Mare (as in the horse) - ih (was in ick) - gold (as in the word gold)

    apparently some say it as Mar-ee-gold, but I have never heard that.

    I agree with the others. MARE-ih-gold. The two pronunciations you listed would be MARE-ee-gold or MAR-ah-gold, respectively, which are different to me.
