    It totally works, but I understand your hesitation. It isn't the most literal choice, which I think would be Fifi. I think Effie makes more sense on a little girl today...same vibe as Hattie or Ellie. I don't think anyone would be confused if you suggested Effie!

    I'm a 'Fiona' and I think Effie is lovely! Just for another idea, my nickname is Fibie (pronounced Phoebe) :-) xx
