I love the name Carmen & was surprised by it's popularity (331). I think it has an edgy but sweet appeal. It also has this kind of dated Latin thing going on that I love. Like it's a mom name not a grandmama name and I like that- more like Roxanna than Rosemary. I think it feels strong and edgy cause it's consenent heavy not airy & vowelly like so many names people use today.

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? lol

I don't like it for me but I like seeing it used. For some reason, it always reminds me of caramels.

I like Carmen a lot. It's a very strong name but definitely something a girly girl could pull off.

I recently discovered that Carmen was my great-grandmother's middle name so it suddenly went up higher in my book, even though I always liked it. I think it is pretty but tough at the same time. I picture it going perfectly for a tom-boy.

    I'm the same way!

I really like Carmen, it's a simple kind of beauty and intrigue.
